If You’ve Been Praying….

…for this government shutdown to end and the “troubles” to be resolved, you’re not alone. I think that, regardless of where you are on the political spectrum, having this much uncertainty isn’t good. One thing we can continue to do – pray. I’ve been inviting my prayer page members on Facebook to pray, along with posting prayers to aid them in their efforts. The Regina Caeli

This is used as an alternative to the Angelus in Easter Season

V. Queen of Heaven, rejoice, alleluia.
R. For He whom you did merit to bear, alleluia.
V. Has risen, as he said, alleluia.
R. Pray for us to God, alleluia.
V. Rejoice and be glad, O Virgin Mary, alleluia.
R. For the Lord has truly risen, alleluia.

Let us pray. O God, who gave joy to the world through the resurrection of Thy Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, grant we beseech Thee, that through the intercession of the Virgin Mary, His Mother, we may obtain the joys of everlasting life. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.

A Prayer for Rain (Much of the US Needs It)

Your “webmistress” is a bit overworked and tired this evening, so here’s a prayer for you to enjoy:

O God, heavenly Father, who by your Son Jesus Christ has promised to all
those who seek your kingdom and its righteousness all things necessary to
sustain their life: Send us, we entreat you, in this time of need, such
moderate rain and showers, that we may receive the fruits of the earth, to
our comfort and to your honor; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. (From the 1979 Book of Common Prayer)
